Insurance Subcommittee. The benefit plans and options shall be determined by the District Employee Insurance Committee. The Association President shall appoint two (2) Association representatives (or alternates) to the committee, who shall be responsible for determining and representing the interests of the Association membership on the committee. The committee shall make decisions solely by consensus (all members of the committee can agree and support the decision even if it is not the member’s preference or first choice). Committee meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that the representatives have notice and opportunity to attend, and the Association President shall be given a courtesy notice of when meetings are scheduled in case the Association’s representatives cannot be reached. The committee shall operate in a manner that the Association representatives have the opportunity to consult with Association leadership regarding options before a final decision is made. The Association representatives shall be responsible for communicating decisions back to the Association leadership.

  • Insurance Committee An Insurance Committee comprised of three (3) representatives selected by the Superintendent and three (3) representatives selected by Okeechobee County Education Association #1604 shall be established to review and make recommendations regarding the health insurance program.
