INJURY LEAVE (ON-DUTY)POLICY. It is the City of Marysville’s policy to pay all regular Fire Division employees injured in the line of duty (work related) injury leave (or wage continuation) for a period not to initially exceed thirteen (13) work weeks. At the 13-week mark the employee will enter the Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC) lost wage system. For injuries where medical authority strongly believes back–to-work status will happen within another 13 weeks, management may extend the injury leave as outlined in this article. Injury leave is granted only for an injury incurred in the performance of official duties with the City, provided the procedures of this article are followed. This article is used in conjunction with the MFD Wellness and Fitness Initiative Program. Where there is a conflict between the two products, this article takes precedence.

  • INJURY LEAVE In the event an unusual circumstance exists regarding the original six (6) months of injury leave, and the employee did not use injury leave hours due to the injury or did not lose work time, the Fire Chief with the approval of the Human Resources Director may extend such injury leave. However, under no circumstances shall the total time granted be greater than twelve (12) months of injury leave, or an actual six (6) months of lost work time because of the injury.

  • Injury on Duty Any unit employee who suffers an injury while working during the course of his/her employment for the County shall be entitled to injury leave until said employee is able to return to work or is terminated in any manner and subject to any limitations imposed by this Article or State Law. Injury means a sudden and tangible happening of a traumatic nature, producing an immediate or prompt result and resulting from external force, including injuries to artificial members.   • Occupational Injury Leave Occupational injury leave shall be governed by the Rules promulgated on this subject and the Ohio Revised Code 5503 as they exist on March 26, 1989, except as modified in this Article. All employees in the bargaining unit shall be entitled to occupational injury leave.

  • Benefits While on Leave An employee will continue to receive her/his salary and benefits while on paid leave under this Article. An employee on unpaid leave may arrange to pay the costs required to maintain benefit coverage in accordance with the local provisions of the collective agreement.

  • Jury Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of the summons, an employee shall be granted leave paid at the rate of her full salary, less what the court pays for the performance of the required duties, to appear for or serve jury duty, provided that such appearance and/or service actually conflicts with her scheduled duties and provided that upon return to work she shall provide her supervisor with written confirmation of the date(s) and time(s) on which she appeared and/or served, signed by an appropriate official of the Court.

  • Rights While on Leave A bargaining unit member approved for a professional conference shall receive full salary while in attendance at said conference. In addition, an estimate of cost of reimbursement will be submitted with the request.
