Health Reports. The School Board may require that a teacher furnish a certificate of good health from a licensed physician of the School Board's choosing and expense. If the report of the physician shows that the teacher is physically and mentally unable to continue teaching, the provisions of Minnesota Statute 122A.40, subdivision 13, may be invoked. The Board may require such teacher to take a leave of absence until the Board approves the physician’s recommendation for return to duty. Required examinations for the staff, other than the requirement for employment, shall be at School Board expense if services are not available through the group insurance plan.

SECTION 1: REQUEST BY BOARD; X-RAY / SKIN TEST The Union agrees that the Board may request any permanent employee to submit a health report (chest X-ray examination or skin test) if mandated by state or federal jurisdiction. Such examinations shall be paid for by the Board. The report of the examining physician shall be made directly to the Superintendent of Schools.
