Group Purchase Authority. Texas law authorizes institutions of higher education to use the group purchasing procurement method (ref. Sections 51.9335, 73.115, and 74.008, Education Code). Additional Texas institutions of higher education may therefore elect to enter into a contract with the successful Proposer(s) under this Section. Should another institution exercise this option the resulting contract and obligations shall be between that institution and the vendor with UNTS incurring no obligation as a result thereof.

Group Purchase Authority. Texas law authorizes institutions of higher education (defined by §61.003, Education Code) to use the group purchasing procurement method (ref. §§51.9335, 73.115, and 74.008, Education Code). Additional Texas institutions of higher education may therefore elect to enter into a contract with the successful Contractor under this Agreement. In particular, Contractor should note that University is part of The University of Texas System (UT System), which is comprised of fourteen institutions described at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/institutions. UT System institutions routinely evaluate whether a contract resulting from a procurement conducted by one of the institutions might be suitable for use by another, and if so, this Agreement could give rise to additional purchase volumes. Any purchases made by other institutions based on this Agreement will be the sole responsibility of those institutions.
Group Purchase Authority. This Agreement is solely for the performance of professional forensic engineering services as defined in the Scope of Work for the Owner, identified above. This Agreement was procured under Texas law that authorizes institutions of higher education (defined by Section 61.003, Education Code) to adopt the purchasing procurement method used for this Agreement to enter into separate agreements of their own (ref. Sections 51.9335, 73.115 and 74.008, Education Code). Therefore, other Texas institutions of higher education may enter into separate agreements with this Services Provider for the provision of the services described in the Scope of Work on the same terms and for the same period of time, including allowable extensions as established in this Agreement, up to the maximum contractual authority authorized by their governing board.
