Grievance and Complaint Procedure. 12.1 DEFINITIONS 12.1.1 A "grievance" is an allegation by an employee, group of employees, or the Washoe Education Association based upon an alleged violation, misinterpretation, or inequitable application of any provision of the Negotiated Agreement. 12.1.2 An "aggrieved person" is a teacher, a group of teachers, or the Association, asserting a grievance. 12.1.3 A "party in interest" is any person or persons who might be required to take action, or against whom action might be taken in order to resolve the problem. 12.1.4 The term "days" when used in this Article shall, except where otherwise indicated, mean working school days rather than calendar days. If the grievance procedure extends past the contracted year, the term "days" shall mean working days beyond the contract year.
