  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA Employees that have been employed for at least one year and have worked at least 1,250 hours the previous year, and are eligible for covered FMLA leave for the serious health condition of the employee, or for the care of the employee’s spouse, parent or dependent child for a serious health condition, will continue to receive health benefits for up to twelve (12) weeks while on unpaid leave in compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.

  • Unfair Labor Practices The Grantee shall comply with the Employers Engaging in Unfair Labor Practices Act, 1980 PA 278, as amended, MCL 423.321 et seq.

  • Pro-Children Act Grantee certifies that it is in compliance with the Pro-Children Act of 2001 in that it prohibits smoking in any portion of its facility used for the provision of health, day care, early childhood development services, education or library services to children under the age of eighteen (18), which services are supported by federal or state government assistance (except such portions of the facilities which are used for inpatient substance abuse treatment) (20 USC 7181-7184).

  • FAIR LABOR STANDARDS The Contractor shall comply with all applicable provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the County and its agents, officers, and employees from any and all liability, including, but not limited to, wages, overtime pay, liquidated damages, penalties, court costs, and attorneys' fees arising under any wage and hour law, including, but not limited to, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, for work performed by the Contractor’s employees for which the County may be found jointly or solely liable.

Contractor adheres to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and PCC 6108. Contractor agrees to cooperate fully in providing reasonable access to Contractor’s records, documents, agents, and employees, and premises if reasonably required by authorized officials of the Department of Industrial Relations, or the Department of Justice to determine Contractor’s compliance with the requirements under this section and shall provide the same rights of access to the JBE.
