Fire Fighting Pump House. Applicable drawings No. CM-3.08.001 and CM-3.06.003 Relevant Subsection 2.2.10 The Contractor shall plan, design and construct a fire fighting pump house adjacent to the berth structure in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements and the requirements of local fire prevention & fighting authority. The dimensions shall be in accordance with the Contractor’s design subject to the approval by the relevant authority and by the Engineer‌ The building shall accommodate the pumps and electrical / generator equipment and shall comprise a reinforced concrete deck of the platform adjacent to the berth structure. Walls shall be of rendered blockwork and the roof shall be of reinforced concrete construction suitably waterproofed. The floor shall receive non-skid and oil resistant finish. Suitable doors to provide access for maintenance and safe operational requirements as well as rain-proof ventilation openings shall be provided and fitted. Personnel doors shall also be provided as necessary. Provision for lifting and removing equipment shall be by hoist.
