Common use of Existing Employees Clause in Contracts

Existing Employees. Existing employees who are covered by the coverage clause of this agreement may become Union members at any time. Employees shall, from the date of advising the employer that they are an APEX member, be bound by all benefits and obligations relating to employees under this agreement subject to meeting the requirements of the Employment Relations Xxx 0000 regarding when a collective agreement will apply to an employee who was/is a member of another union. The terms of this collective agreement will not be passed on automatically to any existing employee who is not an APEX member.
