Common use of Employment Abandoned Clause in Contracts

Employment Abandoned. ‌ Any employee who fails to report for work and does not notify their general manager or designate within four workdays, and who cannot give an acceptable reason for their absence, shall be considered as having abandoned their position. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there was an acceptable reason for not having informed the Employer.
