Common use of Election of Stewards Clause in Contracts

Election of Stewards. The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint Stewards/ Union representatives, up to a maximum of 15, whose duties shall be to assist any employee which the Union represents in matters relating to the activities of the Union, including presentation of grievances. The Union shall endeavour to distribute duties to these representatives equally as to limit disruption to any individual worksite. The Union shall advise the Employer of the names of the Stewards/Union representatives.
