Early Start Time. Non-exempt employees may clock in up to 10 minutes before their established start time upon approval of Supervisor on a day without anticipated work after normal business hours. An equivalently early clock out time is to be taken so as not to incur overtime without approval. Employees are expected to clock out for a meal break of at least 30 minutes and up to an hour in duration before the end of their 5th hour of work commencing from the early clock in time. In the event that employees work more than 10 hours in one workday, they are expected to clock out for a second meal period of at least thirty minutes and up to an hour in duration prior to the end of the 10th hour of work.

  • Part-Time A part-time employee is an employee who regularly works less than forty (40) hours per week. The Agency shall not use part-time employees to avoid full-time benefits.

  • Comp Time In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency.

  • Wash-Up Time 60.01 Where the Employer determines that due to the nature of the work there is a clear cut need, wash-up time up to a maximum of ten (10) minutes will be permitted before the end of the working day, or immediately following and contiguous to the working day.

  • Contract Time The period of time established for completion of the Project by the Contract Documents. Contract Time commences upon the date specified in the Proceed Order and ends upon the Material Completion and Occupancy Date, as it may be amended.
