  • Duty Year A. The duty year for teachers shall not exceed 187 days, including days for professional activities.

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Extra Duty Pay A years experience shall mean extra-duty activity. Credit for up to two (2) years.   • Duty Hours 11.01 The regular work week for all employees shall be eighty (80) hours bi-weekly on shifts of eight (8) hours per day. Employees shall not be scheduled to work double shifts as a part of the normal scheduling procedure. The Employer may implement a forty (40) hour workweek on shifts of ten (10) hours per day, according to Departmental needs.

  • Jury Duty/Witness Leave The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of regular pay to an employee who serves as a juror, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest related to their employment at their employment at the Home, providing the employee:

  • Duty Day Duty Day shall mean a day included in the university calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in this Agreement.

  • Rates Applicable After Default Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in Section 2.9 or 2.10, during the continuance of a Default or Unmatured Default the Required Lenders may, at their option, by notice to the Borrower (which notice may be revoked at the option of the Required Lenders notwithstanding any provision of Section 8.2 requiring consent of affected Lenders to changes in interest rates), declare that no Advance may be made as, converted into or continued as a LIBOR Rate Advance. During the continuance of a Default the Required Lenders may, at their option, by notice to the Borrower (which notice may be revoked at the option of the Required Lenders notwithstanding any provision of Section 8.2 requiring consent of affected Lenders to changes in interest rates), declare that (i) each LIBOR Rate Advance shall bear interest for the remainder of the applicable Interest Period at the LIBOR Rate otherwise applicable to such LIBOR Rate Advance for such Interest Period plus 4% per annum and (ii) each Floating Rate Advance shall bear interest at a rate per annum equal to the Floating Rate otherwise applicable to the Floating Rate Advance plus 4% per annum; provided, however, that the Default Rate shall become applicable automatically if a Default occurs under Section 7.1 or 7.2, unless waived by the Required Lenders.

  • Jury and Witness Duty Leave 23.01 Employees who have been summoned to be a juror or witness by any body in Canada with the power to subpoena shall supply their supervisor with a copy of the summons as soon as possible after receipt of same.

  • Jury Duty and Witness Leave During the time an employee is actually reporting to the court for jury duty and following receipt of "Certificate of Jury Service" (Jury Form 4), the Department Head or his/her designate will convert the employee's usual shift to a regular five-day Monday through Friday day-shift basis. Any person holding a permanent position ordered to serve on a jury shall be entitled to his/her regular pay provided the employee deposits his/her fees for service, other than mileage, with the County Treasurer. Whenever any full-time permanent employee is required to be absent from work by a proper subpoena, issued by a court or commission legally empowered to subpoena witnesses, which compels the employee's presence as a witness, unless the employee is a party or an expert witness, the employee shall be allowed the time necessary to be absent from work at the employee's regular pay to comply with such subpoena, provided the employee deposits any witness fees, except mileage, with the County Treasurer.
