Disruption to Vacation. An employee may request a disruption in vacation for a serious illness or injury to themselves or to care for an immediate family member whom a doctor has issued a certificate stating that the employee is seriously ill or injured or is responsible for an immediate family member who is seriously ill or injured. The request for a disruption in vacation would trigger the FMLA and or OFLA process. If FMLA and/or OFLA is approved, then the disruption in vacation would be approved. This provision is not meant to exceed the timelines contained within FMLA or OFLA.

  • Vacations – Interruption (a) Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a serious illness which requires hospitalization and commenced before and continues into the scheduled vacation period, the period of such illness shall be considered sick leave provided the employee provides satisfactory documentation of the hospitalization.

  • Disruption 41.1 The Contractor shall take reasonable care to ensure that in the performance of its obligations under the Framework Agreement it does not disrupt the operations of the Authority, its employees or any other Contractor employed by the Authority.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.
