Common use of Dismissal Grievance Clause in Contracts

Dismissal Grievance. An employee who has completed his/her probationary period and believes that he/she has been dismissed without just cause may submit a grievance directly to Step 2 within five (5) working days of receiving his/her letter of dismissal. Such grievance may be settled by confirming the Board’s action, or by reinstating the employee with full, partial or no compensation and seniority, or by any other arrangement which is deemed just and equitable.
