Common use of Discharge or Suspension Grievance Clause in Contracts

Discharge or Suspension Grievance. (a) A claim by an employee other than a probationary employee that they have been discharged or suspended without just cause shall be treated as a grievance if a written statement of such grievance is lodged with the Director or their representative at Step 3 within three (3) working days after the discharge or suspension, or within three (3) working days after the Union has been notified, whichever is the later.
