Delayed or Rejected Compensation Claims. Pending the initial decision of a Workers Compensation claim, an employee shall continue on payroll and shall be paid at the level which is equivalent to the employee’s entitlement under the Workers Compensation Act. When the claim is approved, the employee agrees to repay the amount equivalent to the amount paid by the Employer pending the approval of the claim. If the claim is not approved, the employee will be entitled to apply for sick leave.
