Definition of Sick Leave. Basis for Sick Leave will be the: (a) illness of the employee; (b) illness of a member of the employee's family, including: spouse, employee’s (or spouse's) child, parent, brother, or sister; (c) adoption; (d) bereavement. Xxxx leave may be allowed at the discretion of the Superintendent, or designee, for illness of other relatives of the employee not mentioned above.
