Common use of Definition of a Policy Grievance Clause in Contracts

Definition of a Policy Grievance. A policy grievance under this Collective Agreement shall be defined as a difference between the Employer and the Union as to the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Collective Agreement and, which because of the nature or scope of the subject matter could not otherwise be instituted as an individual employee or a group grievance. A policy grievance shall be in writing and shall contain particulars of the facts and circumstances giving rise to the grievance and the provisions of the Collective Agreement alleged to have been violated. Either party may submit a policy grievance in writing to the other.
