Contractor’s Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Coverage. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act, the subsequent Injury Act, and Contractor shall procure and maintain during the life of this Contract WorkersCompensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance in accordance with Texas laws and regulations. Such insurance shall include coverage permitted for safety devices. If the Contractor elects to be self-insured, he shall comply with the applicable requirements and laws of Texas. Region 15 ESC, its officers, or employees will not be responsible for any claims or actions occasioned by the failure of the Contractor to comply with the provisions of this paragraph. If any class of employee is not protected under the Workers’ Compensation Statute, the Contractor shall provide adequate employer’s liability coverage as will protect him and the University against any claims resulting from injuries to and death of workers engaged in work under this contract.

  • Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance The Contractor shall have in effect during the entire life of this Agreement Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance providing full statutory coverage. In signing this Agreement, the Contractor certifies, as required by Section 1861 of the California Labor Code, that it is aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code which requires every employer to be insured against liability for Worker's Compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Code, and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this Agreement.
