Compensation and Expenses of the Trustee Sample Clauses
The "Compensation and Expenses of the Trustee" clause defines the trustee's right to receive payment for their services and to be reimbursed for any reasonable expenses incurred while performing their duties. Typically, this clause outlines how the trustee's fees are calculated—such as a fixed amount, a percentage of the trust assets, or according to a published fee schedule—and specifies which types of expenses are eligible for reimbursement, like legal fees or administrative costs. Its core practical function is to ensure that the trustee is fairly compensated and not financially disadvantaged for managing the trust, thereby encouraging diligent and effective administration.
