Common use of Classified Employees Clause in Contracts

Classified Employees. 1. a. Classified employee who loses his position as a result of a layoff in any classification other than Maintenance Worker I shall have the right to a lower classification in his job progression ladder or any job in his Bargaining Unit he has previously held (except apprentice and trainee classifications) and for which he has completed the probationary period provided he has sufficient seniority in that classification series or previously held position.
