Catastrophic Sick Leave. 10 Definition: Catastrophic Leave is intended for exceptional and demonstrable 11 hardship case, and is not to be considered or treated as a routine extension of paid 12 status for employees who have, by previous absences, exhausted their sick leave 13 and vacation leave. Catastrophic leave shall be limited to the unit member and 14 member’s immediate family including parents and children.
