Common use of Casual Staff Clause in Contracts

Casual Staff. 12.2.1 An employee engaged for a period of 1200 hours or less in any year (measured from the anniversary date of the employee’s commencement of employment) may be engaged as a casual employee on an hourly contract of employment and such employee shall be entitled to be paid a loading of 20%, in addition to the ordinary time hourly rate calculated from the salaries prescribed in Appendix 4 of this Agreement. This loading will be increased to 25% effective from 1 July 2015.
