Call Out and Court Time Sample Clauses

Call Out and Court Time. When an employee is required to appear, or 2 report to work during the employee’s regular off-duty time, for any reason pertaining to 3 or arising from the employee’s official duties; the employee shall be compensated for a 4 minimum of three (3) hours for each such occurrence at the employee’s appropriate 5 hourly rate. If an employee appears and is on duty for more than three (3) hours, such 6 excess time shall also be compensated at the applicable rate. Occurrences which abut 7 a regular shift are not subject to the above minimum requirements. 8

  • Jury Duty and Court Appearance 11.4.1 When summoned to serve on a jury; when subpoenaed as a witness in criminal proceedings, or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto; when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom; the employee, to qualify for permission from the Xxxx/delegate to be absent with pay, shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for court appearance.
