BEREAVEMENT PAY AND JURY DUTY. 13.01 In case of a death in the immediate family of an Employee, the Company shall grant a leave of absence with pay not to exceed seven (7) days in the death of an employee's spouse or child, four (4) days for mother, father, three (3) days for mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, grandparents, and grandchildren. In case of the death of an employee's sister-in-law, brother-in-law, he will be allowed one day's absence at his regular rate, for the day of the funeral. To be eligible for such bereavement pay, the employee must not be off work on account of illness, accident, compensation, or lay-off at the time for which the leave is requested.
