Conformity with Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission Standards and State Laws This contract was approved under the authority of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) and issued under the Commission standards. Any provision of the contract that on the provision’s effective date is in conflict with the applicable IIPRC standards for this product type in effect as of the provision’s effective date of Commission contract approval is hereby amended to conform to the IIPRC standards in effect as of the provision’s effective date of Commission contract approval. The values and benefits of this contract are at least equal to those required by the IIPRC. Any Annuity Payments, surrender value or death benefit available under the contract are not less than the minimum benefits required by Section 7 of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Model Variable Annuity Regulation 250. To the extent not covered by IIPRC standards for this product type effective at the time of the IIPRC contract approval, this contract is governed by the law of the state in which it is issued for delivery.

  • Indemnity Limitation for TIPS Sales Texas and other jurisdictions restrict the ability of governmental entities to indemnify others. Vendor agrees that if any "Indemnity" provision which requires the TIPS Member to indemnify Vendor is included in any TIPS sales agreement/contract between Vendor and a TIPS Member, that clause must either be stricken or qualified by including that such indemnity is only permitted, "to the extent permitted by the laws and constitution of [TIPS Member's State]” unless the TIPS Member expressly agrees otherwise.   • How Do I Correct an Excess Contribution? If you make a contribution in excess of your allowable maximum, you may correct the excess contribution and avoid the 6% penalty tax for that year by withdrawing the excess contribution and its earnings on or before the date, including extensions, for filing your tax return for the tax year for which the contribution was made (generally October 15th).
