Bases for Qualification for Titles. Promotion is based on many factors. Among these are excellence in teaching, in scholarship and creative works, in service to the College, its students, and the community. Professional activities in related fields as well as academic degrees and years of satisfactory service are also criteria to be considered in determining promotions. Excellence in teaching is defined to include but not limited to the following: continued improvements of methods and procedures of instructional presentation, adherence to academic rules and regulations, command of subject, and currency in the field. Excellence in scholarship and creative works is defined to include but not limited to the following: publication of research articles in scholarly and professional journals, professional licensure, publication of textbooks and reviews. In certain fields such as art, music, or literature, creativity will be evidenced by such activities as exhibits, performances, or publications. Service to the College is defined to include but not limited to the following: active participation in departmental and college wide development, implementation, and evaluation of course offerings and curricula for the purpose of maintaining their quality, relevance and viability; active participation on campus and College committees; development of new instructional techniques and/or delivery systems. Service to students is defined to include but not limited to the following: availability to students for consultation and advisement, participation in student activities, sponsorship of student clubs and organizations, and a demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the student. Service to the community and professional activities are defined to include but not limited to the following: membership and participation in community and professional organizations, service as an officer in a local, state, or national organization; service within the local business and industry community to enhance the College's service; participation with local schools for the purpose of academic articulation and the enhancement of enrollment efforts.

  • Driver Qualifications All drivers shall be trained and qualified in the operation of collection vehicles, and must have in effect a valid license, of the appropriate class, issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Contractor shall use the Class II California Department of Motor Vehicles employer “Pull Notice Program” to monitor its drivers for safety.

  • Definition of Qualifications a. In this Agreement, "necessary qualifications" in respect of a teaching position means that, in the professional judgement of the Superintendent of Schools, there is a reasonable expectation, based on the teaching certification, training, education and experience of a teacher that the teacher shall be able to perform the duties of the position in a satisfactory manner.

  • Vendor Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Based on the Contractor’s submission, OGS has determined that Contractor met the minimum qualifications for the lot(s) as identified in Appendix G, Contractor and OGS Information. If Contractor is awarded Lot 1 as a New York State Certified Minority- or Women- Owned Business Enterprise or as a New York State Small Business, Contractor agrees that it must retain at least one of such statuses to retain its Lot 1 award. Should a Contractor no longer retain at least one of such statuses, OGS shall suspend its Lot 1 award and the Contractor shall not be able to respond to Authorized User’s requests. If the Contractor fails to regain at least one of the statuses within 90 calendar days and provide OGS with documentation of such status, then its Lot 1 award shall be terminated. Any transaction awarded prior to Contractor’s loss of such statuses may continue until completion, unless otherwise terminated in accordance with this Contract. Lot 1– For projects up to $200,000 total Eligibility for this Lot is limited to the following:  Contractor is a New York State Certified Minority- or Women-Owned Business Enterprise; or  Contractor meets the definition of a New York State Small Business which is as follows: o A business which is resident in New York State, independently owned and operated, not dominant in its field and employs one hundred or less persons (see State Finance Law section 160(8)).

  • IRO Qualifications The IRO shall:

  • Contractor Qualifications Contractor warrants that Contractor has the necessary licenses, experience and technical skills to provide services under this Contract.

  • Promotions Requiring Higher Qualifications Consideration for promotion shall be given to the senior applicant who does not possess the required qualifications but is presently obtaining such qualifications prior to filling the vacancy. At the discretion of the Employer, such an employee may be given a trial period to qualify within a reasonable length of time and will revert to her former position if the required qualifications are not met within such time.

  • Insurer Qualifications Without limiting any obligations or liabilities of Consultant, Consultant shall purchase and maintain, at its own expense, hereinafter stipulated minimum insurance with insurance companies authorized to do business in the State of Arizona pursuant to ARIZ. REV. STAT. § 20-206, as amended, with an AM Best, Inc. rating of A- or above with policies and forms satisfactory to the City. Failure to maintain insurance as specified herein may result in termination of this Agreement at the City’s option.

  • Selection Based on Consultants’ Qualifications Services estimated to cost less than $100,000 equivalent per contract may be procured under contracts awarded in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3.1, 3.7 and 3.8 of the Consultant Guidelines.

  • General Qualifications General qualifications commonly required of all candidates for, appointees to, and employees in the classified service such as integrity, honesty, sobriety, dependability, industry, thoroughness, accuracy, good judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, courtesy, ability to work cooperatively with others, good health, and freedom from disabling defects, shall be deemed to be a part of the personal characteristics of the minimum qualifications of each class specification and need not be specifically set forth therein. The Commission may prescribe alternative or additional qualifications for individual classes and such qualifications also shall be deemed to be a part of the specifications for such classes.

  • Foreign Qualification Prior to the Company’s conducting business in any jurisdiction other than Delaware, the Majority Members shall cause the Company to comply, to the extent procedures are available and those matters are reasonably within the control of the Majority Members, with all requirements necessary to qualify the Company as a foreign limited liability company in that jurisdiction.
