Appointments Defined. A. An appointment as a probationary member of the faculty shall be for the length of time specified in the contract. Service as a probationary appointee shall count toward a professional appointment only when the faculty member has performed her/his duties for the duration of the contract. The College President shall inform probationary faculty of her/his intent to recommend their professional appointment to the Board by March 1 of the year in which they are eligible. Use of Sick Leave and/or FMLA Leave will not impact the completion of the duration of the contract.

Appointments Defined. A. An appointment as a PROBATIONARY member of the faculty shall be for the length of time specified in the contract. Service as a probationary appointee shall count toward a professional appointment only when the faculty member has performed her/his duties for at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the working days specified by the contract interval. The College President shall inform probationary faculty of her/his intent to recommend their professional appointment to the Board by March 1 of the year in which they are eligible.
