After allowable industrial accident or illness leave is exhausted, accumulated or available sick leave, accumulated compensatory time, vacation (subject to the provisions in Article 38, section 38.3 of this Agreement) or other available leave benefits may be applied against the unit member’s continuing absence for the same injury and the unit member shall continue to endorse to the District his/her temporary disability benefit checks for the absence covered by such leave benefits.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of a temporary disability indemnity award.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave 7.6.1 All unit members shall receive sixty (60) days’ leave with pay in any one fiscal year for an industrial accident or illness. An industrial accident or illness is defined as one where the unit member becomes ill or is injured while he/she is serving the District, and, the accident or illness is reported to the District’s Self-Insurance Program in accordance with District regulations, and, the District Self-Insurance Program accepts responsibility for the treatment of the unit member.

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness.   • Industrial Accident Leave 5.8.1 Unit Members will be entitled to industrial accident leave according to the provision in Education Code Section 87787 for personal injury which has qualified for Worker's Compensation under the provisions of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

  • Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).

  • Transportation of Accident Victims Transportation to the nearest physician or hospital for employees requiring medical care as a result of an on-the-job accident shall be at the expense of the Employer.
