Common use of Abandonment of Grievance Clause in Contracts

Abandonment of Grievance. A grievance may be withdrawn at any level prior to Step IV without prejudice or record. Any grievance not advanced to the next step by the Association within the time limits in that step shall be deemed abandoned. Time limits may be extended by the District and the Association, in writing; then the new date shall prevail.
