Xxxxxx Family Agency definition

Xxxxxx Family Agency means any public agency or private organization engaged in the recruiting, approving, training of, and providing professional support to Resource Families who provide out-of-home care in a family home setting for the placement of children/youth, pregnant and parenting teens with children, and Non Minor Dependents (NMDs) who are supervised by DCFS and Probation and in need of care. FFAs will coordinate with DCFS and Probation Department to find homes and provide services and supports to Resource Families and to the placed children to the extent possible and authorized by local, state and federal law.

Xxxxxx Family Agency or “FFA” – means any public agency or private organization engage in recruiting, approving, training of, and providing professional support to Resource Families who provide out-of-home care in a family home setting for the placement of children/youth, pregnant and parenting teens with children, and Non Minor Dependents (NMDs) who are supervised by DCFS and Probation and in need of care. FFAs will coordinate with DCFS and Probation Department to find homes and provide services and supports to Resource Families and to the placed children to the extent possible and authorized by local, state and federal law.

Xxxxxx Family Agency means any individual or organization engaged in the recruiting, certifying, and training of, and providing professional support to, xxxxxx parents, or in finding homes or other places for placement of children for temporary or permanent care who require that level of care as an alternative to a group home. Private xxxxxx family agencies shall be organized and operated on a nonprofit basis. Further, pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code 11400: "Certified family home" means a family residence certifi ed by a licensed xxxxxx family agency and issued a certificate of approval by that agency as meeting licensing standards, and used only by that xxxxxx family agency for placements. We acknowledge that the social workers and xxxxxx parents are part of a professional team and that all parts of the team are to be treated with dignity and respect, in light of non-discrimination laws and statutes. In this spirit, both parties intend to ensure that all children placed by the undersigned County with the undersigned Xxxxxx Family Agency (hereinafter referred to as “FFA”) are provided homes that will provide the following:

• COUNTY shall pay CONTRACTOR for each Placed Child the monthly Intensive Services Xxxxxx Care Xxxxxx Family Agency Program Rates established by the California Department of Social Services, Xxxxxx Care Funding and Rates Bureau.

• During the term of this Contract, COUNTY shall compensate CONTRACTOR for the Services set forth in this Contract and in the Statement of Work (Exhibit A), for each Placed Child at the Intensive Services Xxxxxx Care Xxxxxx Family Agency Program Rates, as further described in Part I, Section 7.0, Invoices and Payments.

• The CAP procedures are further discussed in Exhibit N, DCFS/Probation Intensive Services Xxxxxx Care Xxxxxx Family Agency Contract Investigation/Monitoring/Audit Remedies and Procedures.

• During the term of this Contract, COUNTY shall compensate CONTRACTOR for the Services set forth in this Contract and in the Statement of Work (Exhibit A), for each Placed Child at the Xxxxxx Family Agency Program Rates, as further described in Part I, Section 7.0, Invoices and Payments.

• The CAP procedures are further discussed in Exhibit N, DCFS Xxxxxx Family Agency Contract Investigation/Monitoring/Audit Remedies and Procedures.

• I agree to report any and all violations of the above by any other person and myself to the Xxxxxx Family Agency approving my home and I agree to ensure that the Xxxxxx Family Agency approving my home reports such violations to the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services.

• I agree to refer all requests for the release of information received by me to the Xxxxxx Family Agency certifying my home.

• COUNTY shall pay CONTRACTOR for each Placed Child the monthly Xxxxxx Family Agency Program Rates established by the California Department of Social Services, Xxxxxx Care Funding and Rates Bureau.

• The existing range of placement options is available for NMDs through EFC, such as: • Approved relative (including California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids), • Non-Related Extended Family Member (NREFM), • Xxxxxx Family Home (FFH), Xxxxxx Family Agency (FFA), • Small Family Home, • Whole Family Xxxxxx Homes, • Group Home (under limited circumstances), • Transitional Housing Placement Program (THPP) (under limited circumstances).

• Through this contract, TLC Child and Family Services, a licensed Xxxxxx Family Agency, will provide emergency shelter care for children from birth to eighteen years of age who are placed in shelter care by the Mendocino County Social Services Branch, Children and Families System of Care.
