xDSL definition

xDSL refers to a generic term for a series of high speed transmission protocols, equipment, and services designed to operate over copper wire. This series includes but is not limited to ADSL, VDSL, SDSL, and others.
xDSL is as defined and offered in this Agreement. The small “x” before the letters DSL signifies reference to DSL as a generic transmission technology, as opposed to a specific DSL “flavor.””
xDSL refers to a set of service enhancing copper technologies, including but not limited to Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Loop (ADSL), High Bit Rate, or Hybrid, Digital Subscriber Loop (HDSL) and Integrated Digital Subscriber Loop (IDSL), that are designed to provided digital communications services over copper loops, either in addition to or instead of normal analog voice service. xDSL Capable Loops means Loops that have been conditioned, if necessary and at the appropriate charge if any, by USWC to carry the appropriate xDSL signals.

The following sentence shall be deleted from Exhibit A (Detailed Schedule of Itemized Charges), Footnote 1 of the Agreement: "At such time as such permanent rates have been approved by the Commission, the Parties shall append to this Exhibit an Exhibit AA, setting forth such rates, which Exhibit AA the Parties shall update periodically as necessary."
