WSIB Act definition

WSIB Act means the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c. 16, Sched. A., as amended, and the regulations thereunder.

  • Alternatively, if the successful Bidder(s) is an Independent Operator and is not categorized under Class G: Construction, the Bidder(s) shall submit a letter, from the WSIB, confirming that s/he has Independent Operator Status under the WSIB Act for work to be carried out for the Township of Ramara.

  • Contractors who have independent Operator Status under the WSIB Act shall submit a complete Independent Operator Status Questionnaire upon being awarded the Contract.

  • The City is liable for compensation related to workplace injures as stipulated by the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) Act.

  • Alternatively, if the Proponent is an Independent Operator and is not classified under Class G: Construction, the proponent must provide a letter from the Work Place Safety & Insurance Board confirming independent operator status and identification number under the WSIB Act.

  • The Board and Union agree to support the principle of prompt rehabilitation and return to work of an employee who sustains an injury arising out of and in the course of employment (within the meaning of WSIB Act) that are eligible for WSIB benefits or injury sustained outside the workplace or for reasons of long term illness.

  • FOI Act means the Freedom of Information Xxx 0000 and any subordinate legislation made under this Act from time to time together with any guidance and/or codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner in relation to such legislation;

  • GLB Act is defined in Section 9.2 hereof.

  • POPI Act means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 as may be amended from time to time;

  • SEBI Act or “Act” means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992;

  • FMC Act means the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

  • IT Act means the (Indian) Income-tax Act, 1961, as may be amended or supplemented from time to time together (including any successor provisions or re- enactments thereof) with all applicable bye-laws, rules, regulations, circulars, guidelines, notifications, orders, ordinances, policies, directions and the like issued thereunder, as may be amended or modified from time to time.

  • 2012 Act means the Health and Social Care Act 2012;

  • the 1988 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1988.

  • Cannabis Act means An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts, S.C. 2018, c. 16, as amended from time to time.

  • the 1998 Act means the Social Security Act 1998;

  • Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • 1990 Act means the Companies Act 1990.

  • FAIS Act means the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (Act No. 37 of 2002);

  • the 1991 Act means the Water Industry Act 1991(a);

  • the 1989 Act means the Local Government and Housing Act 1989;

  • the 1961 Act means the Land Compensation Act 1961(d); “the 1965 Act” means the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965(e); “the 1980 Act” means the Highways Act 1980(f);

  • the 1992 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1992;

  • OHS Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004;

  • EP Act means the Environmental Protection Xxx 0000;

  • WHS Act means the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011 (NT) and includes subordinate legislation made under that Act including regulations and approved codes of practice as well as any amendment, re-enactment or replacement of such Act ; and

  • TIF Act means the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, Sections 99.800 to 99.865, inclusive, of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended.

  • the 1993 Act means the Pension Schemes Act 1993; “the 1995 Act” means the Pensions Act 1995;

  • S.A.F.E. Act means the secure and fair enforcement for mortgage licensing act of 2008, Title V of the housing and economic recovery act of 2008 ("HERA"), P.L. 110-289, effective July 30, 2008.
