Vehicle or engine manufacturer means the manufacturer granted certification for a motor vehicle or motor vehicle engine. In the case of motor vehicles for which certification of the exhaust and evaporative emissions control systems is granted to different manufacturers, the warranty responsibility shall be assigned accordingly.
