University Records definition

University Records means records or record systems that Proposer (1) creates, (2) receives from or on behalf of University, or (3) has access, and which may contain confidential information (including credit card information, social security numbers, and private health information (PHI) subject to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 (Public Law 104-191), or education records subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). University Records means all documents, regardless of form or characteristics, created, received and maintained as evidence and information by any agency, officer or employee of the University in pursuance of legal obligations or in the transactions of business.
University Records means UT Party information to which Preferred Supplier may have access, receives from or on behalf of UT System or Institutional Participants, or creates through the Services under this Agreement. University Records may include social security numbers, credit card numbers, or data protected or made confidential or sensitive by law. University Records includes University Content.

Examples of University Records in a sentence

  • Under this Agreement, Contractor may (1) create, (2) receive from or on behalf of University, or (3) have access to, records or record systems (collectively, University Records).

  • If an impermissible use or disclosure of any University Records occurs, Contractor will provide written notice to University within one (1) business day after Contractor’s discovery of that use or disclosure.

  • Contractor agrees that within thirty (30) days after the expiration or termination of this Agreement, for any reason, all University Records created or received from or on behalf of University will be (1) returned to University, with no copies retained by Contractor; or (2) if return is not feasible, destroyed.

  • Among other things, University Records may contain social security numbers, credit card numbers, or data protected or made confidential or sensitive by Applicable Laws.

  • If Contractor discloses any University Records to a subcontractor or agent, Contractor will require the subcontractor or agent to comply with the same restrictions and obligations as are imposed on Contractor by this Section 12.11.

  • Twenty (20) days before destruction of any University Records, Contractor will provide University with written notice of Contractor’s intent to destroy University Records.

  • Within five (5) days after destruction, Contractor will confirm to University in writing the destruction of University Records.

  • If Contractor discloses any University Records to a subcontractor or agent, Contractor will require the subcontractor or agent to comply with the same restrictions and obligations as are imposed on Contractor by this Section 23.3.

  • Describe Proposer’s procedures to isolate or disable all systems that interact with Information Resources in the event a security breach is identified, including any systems that would hold or process University Records, or from which University Records may be accessed.

  • Additional mandatory confidentiality and security compliance requirements with respect to University Records subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and 45 CFR Part 160 and subparts A and E of Part 164 (collectively HIPAA) are addressed in Section 24.


More Definitions of University Records

University Records means all official materials created in the course of the university’s operations. This includes information created or received in any form, such as email, instant messages, paper documents, enterprise database information, photographs, video, audio, drawings and other electronic form of information.
University Records means records, in any medium or format, within the University’s custody or under its control that are created or received and maintained as evidence or information in the administration and operation of the activities of the University.

  • Education records means an education record as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and its implementing regulations, 20 USC Section 1232g and 34 CFR Part 99, respectively.

  • Medical Records the Study Subjects’ primary medical records kept by the Institution on behalf of the Study Subjects, including, without limitation, treatment entries, x-rays, biopsy reports, ultrasound photographs and other diagnostic images.   • Student record means information that constitutes education rec- ords as that term is defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (20 U.S.C.   • Directory information means information contained in an education record of a student which would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. It includes, but is not limited to: the student’s name, address, telephone listing, electronic mail address, photograph, date and place of birth, major field of study, dates of attendance, grade level, enrollment status (i.e., full-time or part-time), participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height of members of athletic teams, degrees, honors and awards received, and the most recent educational agency or institution attended. It also includes the name, address, and telephone number of the student’s parent(s). Directory information does not include:
