Secondary Screening definition

Secondary Screening means conducting any assay, screen or other test on a Collaboration Compound after the Primary Screening of such Collaboration Compound, for the purpose of confirming the results of the Primary Screening or determining additional physical chemical, pharmaceutical and process profiles and in vivo pharmacological and toxicological profiles.
Secondary Screening means conducting any assay, screen or other test run after the High Throughput Screening on Aventis Compounds or Nicotinic Compounds or Chemical Optimization of Aventis Compounds or Nicotinic Compounds.
Secondary Screening means conducting any assay, screen or other test using intracellular receptors or other in vitro cell systems or reagents involved in other signal transduction pathways on a Research Compound after the Primary Screening of such Research Compound for the purpose of confirming the results of the Primary Screening or to test the Research Compound for cross-reactivity with other than the Designated Receptors.

  • In cases where Secondary Screening substantially modifies any of the above, the Environmental Screening Category and the Environmental Management Plan may need to be revised.

More Definitions of Secondary Screening

Secondary Screening means the (i) retest of compounds identified as active in Primary Screening and/or (ii) the screening of compounds identified as active in Primary Screening against a closely related Hyseq Target to determine selectivity.

  • Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

  • Phase I Trial means a clinical trial of a Licensed Product in human patients conducted primarily for the purpose of determining the safety, tolerability and preliminary activity of the Licensed Product, including, without limitation, for determining the maximum tolerated dose, or optimal dose. For purposes of this Agreement, a Phase I trial shall specifically exclude a study in healthy volunteers.

  • Drug test means a test designed to detect the illegal use of a controlled substance.

  • Product Family means an SAP product family which may comprise of one or several SAP software products or services as further set out in the applicable RSPI.
