Plazas definition

Plazas means a designated small urban park that is centrally located and designed for the public to walk, sit, and congregate.

Plazas means any area within the District located fully within the public right-of-way that is designated by DOT for use by pedestrians on a permanent or temporary basis. The space may contain benches, tables, or other facilities, and many plazas within the District are maintained and programmed by the Partnership pursuant to a management agreement with DOT.

Examples of Plazas in a sentence

  • OMC shall be responsible for all damage and loss that may occur with respect to any and all property located on or about the Plazas or in any way involved in the provision of services by OMC, whether such property is owned by OMC, NHA or brought about by the acts or omission of OMC or its employees, agents, officers or subcontractors or any other persons for whom OMC may be legally or contractually responsible.

  • For purposes of this Agreement, the term “National Highways” shall mean and include the OM&M of Manual Toll Plazas on National Highways as mentioned in Invitation for Bids (IFB) and road furniture.

  • Any other service which is required for performance of this contract of O&M of 13x TOLL PLAZAS (Manual) Toll Plazas will become part of the SOS.The OMC shall operate and maintain the NHA’s facilities in strict adherence with the approved Plans and Standards Operating Procedures.

  • Plazas and common areas designed for pedestrian traffic should be surfaced with a combination of landscape and decorative pavers or decorative concrete.

  • The firm(s), who would be awarded with the contract for OM&M of toll plaza(s) and collection of toll revenue on National Highways shall not be eligible during currency of contract to participate in any subsequent bidding related to installation and operation of any electronic based system if it is to be installed on Manual Toll Plazas on National Highways.

  • CABS means the Carrier Access Billing System.

  • Landscape means an area, as perceived by people, whose character is the result of the action and interaction of natural and/or human factors;

  • Pedestrian means any person afoot.

  • Passageway means a pathway that is unobstructed clear to the sky and extends from a street to one entrance of the accessory dwelling unit.

  • Roads means streets, roads, and highways.

  • Courtyard means a space permanently open to sky, with or without pergola, enclosed fully or partially by buildings and may be at ground level or any other level within or adjacent to a building;

  • Parking Facilities means parking lots or other off-street areas for the parking of vehicles, including areas below or above the surface of streets.

  • Playground means a public outdoor recreation area for children, usually equipped with swings, slides, and other playground equipment, owned and/or managed by a city, county, state, or federal government.

  • Roadway means that portion of a highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular

  • Tunnel means a subterranean passage made by excavating beneath the over- burden into which a building worker enters or is required to enter to work;

  • Alley means a public right-of-way, other than a street, affording secondary means of access to abutting property.

  • Landscaped area means all the planting areas, turf areas, and water features in a landscape design plan subject to the Maximum Applied Water Allowance and Estimated Applied Water Use calculations. The landscaped area does not include footprints of buildings or structures, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, decks, patios, gravel or stone walks, other pervious or non-pervious hardscapes, and other non-irrigated areas designated for non-development (e.g., open spaces and existing native vegetation).

  • Streets means the surface of, and the space above and below, any and all streets, avenues, highways, boulevards, concourses, driveways, bridges, tunnels, parks, parkways, waterways, docks, bulkheads, wharves, piers, public grounds, and public places or waters within and belonging to the Franchising Authority and any other property within the Franchise Area to the extent to which there exist public easements or public rights-of-way.

  • Landscape waste means any vegetable or plant waste except garbage. The term includes trees, tree trimmings, branches, stumps, brush, weeds, leaves, grass, shrubbery, and yard trimmings.
