Outage Unit definition

Outage Unit means a failure to meet the Transmission Minimum Requirements due to a Transponder Capacity failure for fifteen (15) or more minutes in any one day. If such termination occurs on or before the tenth anniversary of the Service Commencement Date, NRTC shall be entitled to a Partial Refund for each terminated Program Channel.
Outage Unit means the Measured Failure of Customer’s Transponder Capacity to meet its Performance Specifications for a period of two (2) consecutive minutes or more; provided that any such failure that occurs within the same one (1) hour period shall constitute but one and the same failure; provided further that the foregoing exception shall not be applied to count multiple failures that occur over a period of greater than one (1) hour, but each within one (1) hour of another, as a single failure (e.g., three (3) failures, each otherwise meeting the definition of an Outage Unit, that occur over ninety (90) minutes would constitute two (2) Outage Units, regardless of the timing of the middle failure).
Outage Unit means the failure of a Lessee's Transponder to meet the C-Band Transponder Performance Specifications for a fifteen (15) minute period in one day (with each such fifteen (15) minute period in the same day constituting a separate outage unit). Lessee shall give HCG immediate notification of any such failure, as soon after commencement of any such failure as is reasonably possible, and of the relevant facts concerning such failure. Upon HCG's verification that a Lessee's Transponder has suffered a Confirmed Failure, such failure shall be deemed to have commenced upon receipt by HCG of notification from Lessee, or HCG's actual knowledge, whichever first occurs, of the Confirmed Failure. As used herein, the term "day" shall mean a 24-hour period of time commencing on 12:00 Midnight Eastern Time.

Examples of Outage Unit in a sentence

  • For example, on March 17, 2026, PVNGS Unit 3 shuts down and does not resume full power generation until June 20, 2026; the Representative Usage over the Extended Outage Period for the Outage Unit was 6,500 acre-feet (AF).

  • For calendar years 2026 through 2050, in lieu of the formula set forth in Section 5.1.2, above, if any PVNGS electric generating unit is shut down (“Outage Unit”) for an Extended Outage Period (defined in Section 5.1.3.1, below), the Non-Usage Fee applicable to each Outage Unit during the Extended Outage Period only shall be determined by using the “Representative Usage” (defined in Section 5.1.3.2, below) of such unit.

  • The Non-Usage Fee payable for each Outage Unit during the Extended Outage Period shall be calculated by multiplying the Representative Usage (RU) by 20 percent of the Average Per Acre-Foot Price (AP) applicable in that year; or [RU x AP x .20].

  • Service Unit means a standardized measure of consumption, use, generation, or discharge attributable to an individual unit of development calculated in accordance with generally accepted engineering or planning standards for a particular category of capital improvements.

  • Generator Planned Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit for inspection, maintenance or repair with the approval of the Office of the Interconnection in accordance with the PJM Manuals.

  • Generating Unit means one or more generating equipment combinations typically consisting of prime mover(s), electric generator(s), electric transformer(s), steam generator(s) and air emission control devices.

A reduction in output or removal from service of a generating unit in response to changes in market conditions shall not constitute a Generator Forced Outage.

  • Operating Unit means, for purposes of this part, primary and constituent operating units designated as such in the Department Order Series of the De- partment of Commerce and, in addi- tion, the Office of the Secretary.

  • Service Switching Point (SSP) is a telephone central office switch equipped with a Signaling System 7 (SS7) interface.

  • Generator Owner means the Person that owns the Generating Facility and has registered with the NERC as the Person responsible for complying with all NERC Reliability Standards applicable to the owner of the Generating Facility.
