Examples of No Soliciting in a sentence

  • No person shall enter upon any premises nor engage in solicitation upon any premises or at any residence located thereon, if such premises or residence is posted against solicitation by means of a notice, prominently displayed, upon which is printed the legend, "No Soliciting", or substantially similar language.

  • It shall be unlawful for any peddler to enter upon any private premises when the premises is posted with a sign stating "No Peddlers Allowed," "No Soliciting," or words to that effect.

  • Every person soliciting or advocating shall check each residence for any "No Soliciting" sign or placard, or any other notice or sign notifying a solicitor not to solicit on the premises, such as, but not limited to, "No Solicitation" signs.

  • Solicitation under this Section is permitted; however, if the owner or occupant of the residence or dwelling has complied with the "No Soliciting" provisions in this Chapter, then soliciting is prohibited.

  • Possession of a solicitation business license does not in any way relieve any solicitor of this duty.B. It is a violation of this Title for any solicitor to knock on the door, ring the doorbell or in any other manner attempt to attract the attention of an occupant of a residence or dwelling that bears a "No Soliciting" or similar sign or placard.

  • No Soliciting: The Guest shall not solicit other Guests, the Carrier's employees, personnel or agents during the voyage with respect to any professional, commercial, or business activity, whether for profit or otherwise, without the prior written consent of the Carrier.

  • Any occupant of a residence or occupants of a multifamily dwelling who desire(s) not to have solicitors call on said residence(s) shall give notice of the desire to refuse solicitors by displaying a clearly visible weatherproof placard no smaller than 16 square inches and no larger than 94 square inches stating "No Soliciting" which shall be posted on or near the main entrance of the private property and not within the public right-of-way.

  • Residents of a residential subdivision may indicate their desire not to have solicitors call on any residences in that subdivision by giving notice of the desire to refuse solicitors by displaying a clearly visible weatherproof placard no smaller than eight inches by ten inches and no larger than 18 inches by 24 inches stating "No Soliciting" which shall be posted on or near the main entrance of the subdivision on private property and not within the public right-of-way.

  • It is unlawful for any person to appear, canvass or solicit at any private residence whereon a placard bearing the words "No Soliciting" is posted for public view indicating that solicitors are not wanted at such residence with the purpose of circumventing subsection (i)(1) of this section through ruse, deception or concealment of a purpose to solicit or to take action calculated to secure an audience with the occupant of a residence that has a posted "No Soliciting" notice.

  • Soliciting means and include any one or more of the following activities:

  • Telephone solicitation means any voice communication over a telephone for the purpose of encouraging the recipient of the call to purchase, rent, or invest in goods or services during that telephone call. Telephone solicitation does not include any of the following:

  • Bid Solicitation means a formal request for Bids including an Informal Quotation, Request for Quotation, Request for Pre-Qualification, Request for Tender, Request for Proposal, Negotiated Request for Proposal, or Request for Expression of Interest;

  • General Solicitation and “General Advertising” means “general solicitation” and “general advertising”, respectively, as used under Rule 502(c) of Regulation D, including, without limitation, advertisements, articles, notices or other communications published in any newspaper, magazine or similar media or the internet or broadcast over radio or television or the internet, or any seminar or meeting whose attendees had been invited by general solicitation or general advertising;

  • State contract solicitation means a request by a state agency or quasi-public agency, in whatever form issued, including, but not limited to, an invitation to bid, request for proposals, request for information or request for quotes, inviting bids, quotes or other types of submittals, through a competitive procurement process or another process authorized by law waiving competitive procurement.

  • Competitive solicitation means a formal, advertised procurement process, other than an Invitation to Bid, Request for Proposals, or Invitation to Negotiate, approved by the Board to purchase commodities and/or services which affords vendors fair treatment in the competition for award of a District purchase contract.

  • Home solicitation sale means a sale of goods or services of more than $25.00 in which the seller or a person acting for the seller engages in a personal, telephonic, or written solicitation of the sale, the solicitation is received by the buyer at a residence of the buyer, and the buyer's agreement or offer to purchase is there given to the seller or a person acting for the seller. Home solicitation sale does not include any of the following:

  • Solicit means (A) requesting that a contribution be made, (B) participating in any fund-raising activities for a candidate committee, exploratory committee, political committee or party committee, including, but not limited to, forwarding tickets to potential contributors, receiving contributions for transmission to any such committee or bundling contributions, (C) serving as chairperson, treasurer or deputy treasurer of any such committee, or (D) establishing a political committee for the sole purpose of soliciting or receiving contributions for any committee. Solicit does not include: (i) making a contribution that is otherwise permitted by Chapter 155 of the Connecticut General Statutes; (ii) informing any person of a position taken by a candidate for public office or a public official, (iii) notifying the person of any activities of, or contact information for, any candidate for public office; or (iv) serving as a member in any party committee or as an officer of such committee that is not otherwise prohibited in this section.

  • Bid Solicitation Agent means the Person appointed by the Company to solicit bids for the Trading Price of the Notes in accordance with Section 14.01(b)(i). The Company shall initially act as the Bid Solicitation Agent.

  • Soliciting Shareholder means, with respect to any Special Meeting demanded by a shareholder or shareholders, any of the following Persons:

  • City Solicitor means the City employee holding that office or, if applicable, the successor to the authority or responsibility of such office;

  • Professional solicitor means any person who, for a financial or other consideration, solicits

  • Non-Solicitation Period means a period of 12 months after the termination of Executive’s employment with the Company.

  • Consent Solicitation has the meaning set forth in Section 6.15(b).

  • Soliciting Dealers means those broker-dealers that are members of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or that are exempt from broker-dealer registration, and that, in either case, enter into participating broker or other agreements with the Dealer Manager to sell Shares.

  • Solicitations means ITBs and RFPs.

  • soliciting dealer means a person whose interest in a distribution of rights is limited to soliciting the exercise of the rights by holders of those rights;

  • Recruit means any full-time or part-time law enforcement

  • Proxy Statement has the meaning set forth in Section 6.03(a).

  • Divert means to use material for any lawful purpose other than disposal in a landfill or transfer facility for disposal

  • Public Disclosure means disclosure in a press release reported by the Dow Jones News Service, Associated Press or comparable national news service or in a document publicly filed by the corporation with the Securities and Exchange Commission pursuant to Section 13, 14 or 15(d) of the Exchange Act.

  • Disseminate when referring to a notice or other information to be sent by the Depositary to Owners, shall mean (i) sending that information to Owners in paper form by mail or another means or (ii) with the consent of Owners, another procedure that has the effect of making the information available to Owners, which may include (A) sending the information by electronic mail or electronic messaging or (B) sending in paper form or by electronic mail or messaging a statement that the information is available and may be accessed by the Owner on an Internet website and that it will be sent in paper form upon request by the Owner, when that information is so available and is sent in paper form as promptly as practicable upon request.

  • Consent Solicitation Statement means the consent solicitation statement issued on June 15, 2020 by Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção S.A., among others.
