  • The Labor MOU is subject to membership ratification and Bankruptcy Court approval, both of which will be sought promptly.

  • Labor laws means the following labor laws and E.O.s:

  • Labor contractor means an individual or entity, either with or without a contract, which supplies a client employer with, or maintains a pool or availability list of, workers to perform labor within the client employer’s usual course of business. This definition is not intended to include Farm Labor Contractors.

  • Labor hours means the total hours of workers receiving an hourly wage who are directly employed on the site of a building improvement or public works project.   • Labor means laborers, mechanics, and other employees below the rank of supervisor, directly employed at the Site of the Work subject to the Manager or their designee’s authority to determine what employees of any category are “required for Extra Work” and as to the portion of their time allotted to Extra Work; and “cost of labor” means the wages actually paid to and received by such employees plus a proper proportion of (a) vacation allowances and union dues and assessments which the employer actually pays pursuant to contractual obligation upon the basis of such wages, and (b) taxes actually paid by the employer pursuant to law upon the basis of such wages and workers’ compensation premiums paid pursuant to law. “Employees” as used above means only the employees of one employer.

  • Labor compliance agreement means an agreement entered into between a contractor or subcontractor and an enforcement agency to address appropriate remedial measures, compliance assistance, steps to resolve issues to increase compliance with the labor laws, or other related matters.
