HIPAA Rules definition

HIPAA Rules means the Privacy, Security, Breach Notification, and Enforcement Rules at 45 CFR Part 160 and Part 164.
HIPAA Rules means the rules at 45 C.F.R. Part 160, Part 162, and Part 164.
HIPAA Rules mean the rules adopted by and promulgated by the US Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”) under HIPAA and other relevant federal laws currently in force or subsequently made, such as the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Heath Act (“HITECH”), as enumerated under 45 CFR Parts 160, 162, and 164, including without limitation any and all additional or modified regulations thereof. Examples of HIPAA Rules in a sentence

  • Business Associate will not be obligated to record Disclosure Information or otherwise account for disclosures of Protected Health Information if Plan Sponsor need not account for such disclosures under the HIPAA Rules.

  • Business Associate and Plan Sponsor acknowledge that the phrase “minimum necessary” shall be interpreted in accordance with the HITECH Act and HIPAA Rules.

  • This Agreement does not authorize Business Associate to use or disclose Plan Sponsor’s Protected Health Information in a manner that would violate the HIPAA Rules if done by Plan Sponsor, except as permitted for Business Associate’s proper management and administration, as described above.
