Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date definition

Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date means the date of a Participant’s Separation from Service after he becomes vested in his Supplemental Plan (409A Non-Grandfathered Component) benefit under Section 4.2, before his Normal Retirement Date, and after either attaining age 55 and completing 10 years of Vesting Service or attaining age 65, determined after taking into account (i) additional service credited under Section 1.3(s) and/or (ii) additional years of age, not exceeding five (5), as may be approved by the Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific prior to the Participant’s Separation from Service or as may be credited to the Participant pursuant to Sections 2.7 and 2.8; provided, however that such date does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any additional years of age awarded under this Section 1.3(e) shall affect only a Participant’s eligibility for an Early Supplemental Pension, and not the actual commencement date of such benefit.
Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date means, subject to Sections 2.9(a)(ii)(B) and (b)(ii)(B), Section 2.10(b)(ii) and Section 2.12(b)(ii), the date of a Participant’s termination of Employment after he becomes vested in his Supplemental Plan (409A Grandfathered Component) benefit under Section 4.2, before his Normal Retirement Date, and after either attaining age 55 and completing 10 years of Vesting Service or attaining age 65, determined after taking into account (i) additional service that was credited on or before October 3, 2004 under Section 1.3(p) and/or (ii) additional years of age, not exceeding five (5), as was approved on or before October 3, 2004 by the Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific prior to the Participant’s termination of Employment or as was credited to the Participant pursuant to Section 2.7, 2.9, 2.10, 2.11 or 2.12; provided, however that such date does not qualify on or before December 31, 2004 as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan.
Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date means, subject to Sections 2.10(a)(ii)(B) and (b)(ii)(B), Section 2.11(b)(ii) and Section 2.13(b)(ii), the date of a Participant's termination of Employment after he becomes vested in his Supplemental Plan benefit under Section 4.2, before his Normal Retirement Date, and after either attainment of age 55 and completion of 10 years of Vesting Service or attainment of age 65, determined after taking into account (i) additional service credited under Section 1.2(p) and/or (ii) additional years of age, not exceeding five (5), as may be approved by the Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific prior to the Participant's termination of Employment or as may be credited to the Participant pursuant to Section 2.5, 2.8, 2.10. 2.11, 2.12 or 2.13; provided, however that such date does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan.

Examples of Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date in a sentence

  • Except as provided in Sections 3.2 and 3.3, if a Participant has a Separation from Service on a Normal Retirement Date, an Early Retirement Date, an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date, or a Postponed Retirement Date under Section 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3, payment of the Supplemental Pension shall be made to a Participant on his or her benefit start date in the form of a single life annuity payable in equal monthly installments to the Participant for his or her lifetime.

  • Subject to the provisions of Articles Three, Five and Eleven, a Participant who has a Separation from Service on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date shall receive an Early Supplemental Pension, in the form of a single life annuity commencing on the first day of the month following the later of the Participant’s Separation from Service or the Participant’s attainment of age 55.

  • If a Participant has a Separation from Service on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date, and at such Separation from Service either is not vested in or is not eligible to start a pension under the Pension Plan, payment of his Supplemental Pension shall be made in the form of a single life annuity.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant who dies while receiving an Early Supplemental Pension determined under Section 2.2(b), relating to a Separation from Service on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date ( i.e., a date that does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan), and, if applicable, an Additional Disability Pay Benefit, shall be entitled to a Surviving Spouse’s Pension.

  • Except as provided in Section 3.3, if a Participant retires on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date, and at retirement either is not vested in or is not eligible to start a pension under the Pension Plan, payment of his Supplemental Pension shall begin on the first day of the month next following the Participant’s Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date.

  • The benefit payable to the Surviving Spouse of a Participant described in Section 6.1, who dies other than under circumstances described in Section 6.2(a)(i) or 6.2(a)(iii) but after becoming eligible for an Early Supplemental Pension under Section 2.2 based on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date, shall be an annuity payable for the Surviving Spouse’s life calculated as follows.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant who dies while receiving an Early Supplemental Pension determined under Section 2.2(b), on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date ( i.e., a date that does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date), shall be entitled to a Surviving Spouse’s Pension.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant who dies while receiving an Early Supplemental Pension determined under Section 2.2(b), relating to retirement on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date ( i.e., a date that does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan), shall be entitled to a Surviving Spouse’s Pension.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant who dies while receiving an Early Supplemental Pension determined under Section 2.2(b), relating to retirement on an Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date (i.e., a date that does not qualify as an Early Retirement Date under the terms of the Pension Plan), shall be entitled to a Surviving Spouse's Pension.

Related to Early Supplemental Pension Retirement Date

  • Supplemental Retirement Benefit means the benefit determined under Article V of this Plan.

  • Normal Retirement Date means the later of the Normal Retirement Age or Termination of Employment.

  • Deferred Retirement Date means, in the case of any Participant who continues in employment after his Normal Retirement Date, the first day of any month following his actual retirement.

  • Postponed Retirement Date means the first day of the month coincident with or next following a Participant’s date of actual retirement which occurs after his Normal Retirement Date.

  • Early Retirement Date means the Retirement, as defined below, of the Executive on a date which occurs prior to the Executive attaining sixty-two (62) years of age, but after the Executive has attained fifty-five (55) years of age.

  • Supplemental Benefit means the monthly benefit payable to the Executive under this Agreement.

  • Normal Retirement Benefit means an annual benefit payment in the amount of Sixty-Six Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy-Three Dollars ($66,373.00) for a period of fifteen (15) years.

  • Disability Retirement Date means the first day of the month following the last day of paid employment;

  • Early Retirement Benefit means the retirement benefit payable to a member following early

  • Late Retirement Date means the first day of the month coinciding with or next following a Participant's actual Retirement Date after having reached his Normal Retirement Date.

  • Supplemental Retirement Plan means (i) the Company’s Amended and Restated Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan, (ii) the Company’s Supplemental Management Retirement Plan, (iii) the Company’s Amended and Restated Top Hat Restoration Plan, and (iv) the Company’s Defined Contribution Restoration Plan.

  • Retirement Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 5.

  • Retirement Date means the date as of which a Participant retires for reasons other than Total and Permanent Disability, whether such retirement occurs on a Participant's Normal Retirement Date or Late Retirement Date (see Section 6.1).

  • Termination Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 7.

  • Pre-Retirement Survivor Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 6.

  • Earliest Retirement Age means the earliest date on which, under the Plan, the Participant could elect to receive retirement benefits.

  • Individual retirement account means a trust, custodial arrangement, or annuity under Section 408(a) or (b), Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (26 U.S.C. Section 408 (1986)).

  • Supplemental Retirement Income Benefit means an annual amount (before taking into account federal and state income taxes), payable in monthly installments throughout the Payout Period. Such benefit is projected pursuant to the Agreement for the purpose of determining the Contributions to be made to the Retirement Income Trust Fund (or Phantom Contributions to be recorded in the Accrued Benefit Account). The annual Contributions and Phantom Contributions have been actuarially determined, using the assumptions set forth in Exhibit A, in order to fund for the projected Supplemental Retirement Income Benefit. The Supplemental Retirement Income Benefit for which Contributions (or Phantom Contributions) are being made (or recorded) is set forth in Exhibit A.

  • Change in Control Benefit means the benefit described in Section 2.4.

  • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Designated Retirement Account means any retirement plan or account described or qualified under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or a subaccount thereof.

  • Normal Retirement means retirement from active employment with the Company or any Subsidiary on or after age 65.

  • Retirement Age means the earlier to occur of:

  • Qualified Retirement means a retirement from Service by the Executive in which, at the time of such retirement, the sum of the Executive’s age and aggregate 12-month completed periods of Service (whether or not such completed 12-month periods are consecutive), in each case without giving credit for any partial years, equals or exceeds 75.

  • Normal Retirement Age means the Executive's 65th birthday.
