Early Closure definition

Early Closure means the closure on any Exchange Business Day of the Exchange or the Related Exchange(s) prior to its closing time, unless such earlier closing time is announced by the Exchange or Related Exchange(s) at least one hour prior to the earlier of: (i) the actual closing time for the regular trading session on the Exchange or Related Exchange(s) on such Exchange Business Day and (ii) the submission deadline for orders to be entered into the Exchange or Related Exchange system for execution at the Valuation Time on such Exchange Business Day.
Early Closure means (a), in respect of an Index (other than a Multiple Exchange Index), the closure on any Exchange Business Day of any relevant Exchange(s) relating to securities thatcomprise 20 per cent. or more of the level of the relevant Indexor any Related Exchange(s) prior to its Scheduled Closing Time unless such earlier closing time is announced by such Exchange(s) or Related Exchange(s) at least one hour prior to the earlier of (i) the actual closing time for the regular trading session on such Exchange(s) or Related Exchange(s) on such Exchange Business Day and (ii) the submission deadline for orders to be entered into such Exchange(s) or Related Exchange(s) systemfor execution at the Valuation Time on such Exchange Business Day; or (b) in respect of a Multiple Exchange Index, the closure on any Exchange Business Day of the Exchange in respect of any Component Security or any Related Exchange prior to its Scheduled Closing Time unless such earlier closing is announced by such Exchange or Related Exchange (as the case may be) at least one hour prior to the earlier of: (i) the actual closing time for the regular trading session on such Exchange or Related Exchange (as the case may be) on such Exchange Business Day; and (ii) the submission deadline for orders to be entered into such Exchange or Related Exchange systemfor execution at the Valuation Time on such Exchange Business Day.

  • Section 6.3(a) of the Equity Definitions is hereby amended by replacing the first sentence in its entirety with the following: “‘Market Disruption Event’ means in respect of a Share or an Index, the occurrence or existence of (i) a Trading Disruption, (ii) an Exchange Disruption, (iii) an Early Closure or (iv) a Regulatory Disruption, in each case that the Calculation Agent determines, in its commercially reasonable judgment, is material”.

More Definitions of Early Closure

Early Closure means, the closure on an Exchange Business Day of the Exchange prior to its Scheduled Closing Time unless such earlier closing time is announced by such Exchange at least one hour prior to the earlier of (i) the actual closing time for the regular trading session on such Exchange on such Exchange Business Day and (ii) the submission deadline for orders to be entered into the Exchange system for execution at the Valuation Time on such Exchange Business Day.
