Department of Mines and Petroleum definition

Department of Mines and Petroleum means the Department of Mines and Petroleum of the Government of Western Australia or the Department from time to time performing the functions of that Department at the Commencement Date. “Ground Disturbing Activity” includes, but is not limited to, drilling (including drilling on existing tracks), digging (with mechanised equipment), blasting, earthmoving, vegetation clearance, grading, gravel extraction, construction of new or widening of existing roads and tracks. For the avoidance of doubt, it does not include the matters listed in paragraphs (a) to (c) of the definition of “Non Ground Disturbing Activity”.

Alternative stormwater management measures, removal rates, or calculation methods may be utilized, subject to any limitations specified in this chapter, provided the design engineer demonstrates to the municipality, in accordance with Section IV.F. of this ordinance and N.J.A.C. 7:8-5.2(g), that the proposed measure and its design will contribute to achievement of the design and performance standards established by this chapter.

  • Department of Defense (DoD) means the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and defense agencies. "Foreign-flag vessel" means any vessel that is not a U.S.-flag vessel.

  • Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation means the regulations in 49 CFR Parts 100-189.

  • Environmental Protection Agency or “EPA” means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Act means Article 2.3 (§ 62.1-44.15:24 et seq.) of Chapter 3.1 of Title 62.1 of the Code of Virginia.

  • Department of Transportation means the United States Department of Transportation and any agency or instrumentality of the United States government succeeding to its functions.

  • Transportation Company means any organization which provides its own or its leased vehicles for transportation or which provides freight forwarding or air express services.

  • National Ambient Air Quality Standards or “NAAQS” means national ambient air quality standards that are promulgated pursuant to Section 109 of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7409.
