Control Office definition

Control Office is an exchange carrier center or office designated as the Party’s single point of contact for the provisioning and maintenance of its portion of local interconnection arrangements.
Control Office means the Central Office providing Tandem Switching Capability for E9-1-1 calls. The Control Office controls switching of ANI information to the PSAP and also provides the Selective Routing feature, standard speed calling features, call transfer capability and certain maintenance functions for each PSAP. These definitions appear to be related to two different scenarios and will need to remain in tact.
