WRC Sweeper Source Energy Budget Sample Clauses

WRC Sweeper Source Energy Budget. The AWI transceiver has a shorter pressure case that can hold only 30 battery modules, rather than the 37 modules that the two NERSC transceivers can hold. The source itself and the STAR use different kind of battery modules. The 45 V is used for the source and the 15 V is used for the STAR. A relatively large safety margin for the STARs has been chosen, since they have never been deployed for two years. It is essential that the STARs not exhaust their batteries. NERSC sources devote 12 modules and the AWI source devote 8 modules to the STARs, under the assumption that the NERSC sources will be deployed for two years and the AWI source for one year (or perhaps a bit more). The remaining modules will be 45 V modules for source power. There will therefore be 25 of the 45 V modules in the two NERSC sources and 22 of the 45 V modules in the AWI source. To summarize the battery distribution will be: • NERSC -1 and 2: 25 of the 45 V modules, 12 modules at 15 V for the STAR • AWI : 22 of the 45 V modules, 8 modules at 15 V for the STAR The sources will transmit the following signals: Tomography transmission: 60 s LFM sweep @ 190 xX XXXXX transmission: 80 s LFM sweep, 259.375–260.898 Hz @ 181 dB. The new NERSC #2 and the refurbished AWI source have higher current drains than the NERSC #1 source. Source characteristics are described in Table 10.
