WAGE GARNISHMENTS Clause Samples

The Wage Garnishments clause outlines the employer's rights and obligations when an employee's wages are subject to garnishment by a court order or government agency. Typically, this clause allows the employer to withhold a portion of the employee's pay as required by law and remit it to the appropriate authority, and may also address administrative fees or notification procedures. Its core function is to ensure legal compliance and clarify the employer's role in processing wage garnishments, thereby protecting the employer from liability and ensuring transparency for the affected employee.
