Use of Volunteers. The use of volunteers will not result in the lay-off of bargaining unit employee(s) or abolishment of a position.

Use of Volunteers. a) The use of volunteers will not be precluded providing they are over and above regular staffing complements and their utilization does not result in the lay-off direct layoff of any Employee covered by this Agreement, nor will volunteers be used to fill established or newly created positions within the bargaining unit employee(s) or abolishment of a positionunit.
