Unpaid Disability Leave. a. A unit member receiving a disability allowance from the State Teachers Retirement System shall be placed on an unpaid leave status for a period not to exceed thirty-nine (39) months. At the end of the thirty-nine (39) month period, the unit member’s employment right will end.
