UNINTERRUPTED PATIENT CARE. It is recognized that KVH is engaged in a public service requiring continuous operation and it is agreed that recognition of such obligation of continuous service is imposed upon both the employee and the Union. During the term of this Agreement, neither the Union nor its members, agents, representatives, employees or persons acting in concert with them shall incite, encourage or participate in any strike, picketing, walkout, slowdown or other work stoppage of any nature whatsoever. In the event of any strike, picketing, walkout, slowdown or work stoppage, or a threat thereof, the Union and its officers will do everything within their power to end or avert same. Any employee participating in any strike, picketing, walkout, slowdown or work stoppage will be subject to immediate dismissal. KVH agrees that during this same time period, there shall be no lockouts.
